Market Access

At the Salt Lake City IRC office, the Economic Wellbeing Team specializes in offering new and existing businesses market access assistance. This includes a variety of services under the umbrella of marketing and advertising. It also includes connection to new partners or events in the community, where businesses can sell their products at a free or discounted rate. Overall, we want to help make small minority owned businesses visible and give them a chance to reach larger audiences.

Pop Up Shop Opportunities:

  • Many of our client businesses sell at a temporary pop-up event inside a local coffee shop, café, or other local host business.

Art Shows:

  • Businesses who specialize in artistic works will know when and where the latest art shows are happening.

Workshops:

  • Minority owned businesses can take advantage of many learning opportunities through our program, where they can improve their understanding of business taxes, licensing, marketing, market readiness, general business information, and more.

IRC Annual Events:

  • Every holiday season, we sell holiday gift baskets. These baskets have products that are made by selected client businesses—all sales go directly to makers! In the Spring, we also host the New American Dream Lab, or NADL; a Shark Tank style pitching event where entrepreneurs compete for grant money.

Social Media/Website Help:

  • Our program understands the importance of an online presence. We are always available to assist with social media/website education, creation, and sustainability.
